LaptopS

When I was a kid, I drooled over laptops alot. My parents weren't rich folks, so they can't afford to buy me one. And I didn't demand from them. One day, my Dad (or Mom, not sure) made a promise that if I graduate with honors in college, they'll buy me one.

Long story short, they didn't keep their promise, but it wasn't their fault - it was mine. I got married before graduation, and I didn't make it to the cum laude list.

Years passed and eventually, I got a job and my life started shifting towards where I wanted it to go. And boom! Here I am, sitting in front of this desk that has those two lappies on top. I landed in a company that was smart enough to figure out that MIS people should have laptops. I got lucky.

Never, not even once, did I ever imagine myself in this situation. Thank God.

Boredom

How I wish this is the real job. But alas, it was not meant to be, coz this is just freelance.

Where the fuck did that come from. I know right?

That, by the way, is our laptop's jack slots and status indicators. :-)

Book to Read

Bought this book yesterday from National Bookstore, in Sucat. Haven't started reading it though, and I'm not even sure if it's good. I just picked it because it has an 'International Bestseller' label on the cover. Lol. Oh well...

Overtime

That's the sign posted on the server ro0m's do0r. Yep, we're still in the office right now, doing some ref0rmatting and reinstalling 0n the server, hopefully solving a major lag in operati0ns. I'm n0t complainin though, coz i see it as a way to further expand kn0wledge and experience.

Yipee! I was able to install sql server 2005 on a real server!

Rain

I hope so. I always feel better when its raining.

Warmth

This is the view from where I am in the office. It's so cold in the training room (where we hang out for the time being) so i went here instead coz its warmer. I'm using a laptop so m0ving around is okay, but i bet i'll have to go back there to charge the battery.

I like this spot a lot coz of that view. I kn0w its n0t that co0l but, its always a pleasure to have s0mething different to lo0k at aside from the laptop screen every once in a while.

Headache

And that's me, staring at the laptop screen, enduring a headache after i dozed off for a few minutes. The day after a holiday season is fucking ann0ying. I hope there's a cure for that.
